New project cooperation

Jesko Schmoller joined the research project “A Red Golden Legend: Hagiographic Experiences in the Former USSR and Popular Democracies”, headed by Stéphane Dudoignon and Marie-Paule Hille from Paris, France. The project is devoted to the study of modern Islamic sainthood in the more recent socialist past and seeks to provide answers to the question how people came to be revered as saints in atheist environments from South-East Europe to China. It involves more than 25 specialists who will develop the project over the next three years. More information can be found by clicking on the following link:
